Linda Honnens

Linda Renee Honnens, 77 passed away on Wednesday February 4th, 2026 in Lincoln Nebraska. Linda was born in Grand Rapids Minnesota to Ronald Olson and Shirley Shumaker Olson where she enjoyed the beautiful scenery and time at her family cabin with her three brothers Edwin, Mark and Kevin Olson.
Linda then moved to Lincoln, Nebraska with family where she attended Northeast Highschool, and then graduated from Nursing School where she earned her Nursing Diploma. Linda enjoyed her career in nursing at Lincoln General Hospital and Tabitha Home Health.
Linda was married to Mitchell Ray Honnens (proceeded in death) and had three daughters.
Linda is survived by daughters, Sonja (Enrique) Ventura and Mandy (Andy) Dittenber. Her brother, Mark Olson, and grandchildren; Nicolas (Cassandra), Diego (Rebecca Hamilton), Deonisio, Emma, Eli, Gianna, Rylee, Ashlee, Sam, Ava, Ella and Emma.
She was proceeded in death by daughter, Heather Dunn, parents Ronald and Shirley Olson, brothers Edwin and Kevin Olson, and in-laws Carl and Glenda Honnens.
Linda resided at Pemberly Place in Lincoln, Nebraska where she cherished the close friendships she made, and participated in activities and outings.
For those who knew Linda she will be deeply missed by everyone who loved her warm heart and infections joyful laugh. A memorial to honor Linda will be held at Pemberly Place for a date later to be determined.

Condolences for Linda Honnens
My sympathy to the family of Linda. She was one of my best friends. Such a wonderful, happy caring lady everyone here at Pemberly loved her. I will miss her sweet laugh. I cherish the time that we had together.
My thoughts and prayers go out to this family. It’s been over 30 years and I remember mitch and Linda laughing and visiting with me those were fun times. Her laughter i still remember great memories.
