Pamela Jean Hoback (Epperly) passed away peacefully at home on October 17, 2025, at the age of 67, surrounded by the family she loved beyond measure. Born in Crete, Nebraska, on November 18, 1957, to Robert Dean Epperly Sr. and Arliss Jean Wendland, Pam grew up with a tender heart and a quiet strength that defined her entire life.

On September 30, 1978, Pam married her best friend, Alan Dean Hoback, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Together they built a life grounded in love, laughter, and a deep devotion to their three daughters. Pam’s greatest joy was being a wife, mom, and “Mimi”, titles she carried with pride and purpose.

She had an incredible gift for caring-not the loud kind that demanded attention, but the kind that wrapped around you quietly and made you feel safe, seen, and loved. She brought light and kindness wherever she went, often dressed in her favorite color-pink- a reflection of the warmth and softness she carried inside.

Pam loved camping trips, afternoons in the garden, canning vegetables, the exciting days of fishing on the boat, and the joy of sewing something made with love. But her happiest moments were always spent surrounded by her family-spoiling her grandchildren, laughing around the table, or simply being present in the chaos and beauty of everyday life. She lived her life guided by her faith in God, by love that never wavered, and by a fierce devotion to those she held dear.

She is survived by her husband, Alan; daughters Christyne (Bob) Mounce and Angie (Andy) Arnold; and five grandchildren who were the light of her life—Bennett and Jacob Mounce, Aspyn, Asher, and Avery Arnold. She is also survived by her siblings Brad (Rose) Epperly, Kevin (Tammy) Snyder, Jeff Epperly, Lori (Taelyn Terry) Epperly, and Theresa (Dave) Meister.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Epperly Sr. and Arliss Carter; brothers Robert Epperly Jr. and Clarence Snyder; and her beloved eldest daughter, Ginny Marie Hoback.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday October 27, 2025 at Lincoln Berean Church, 6400 S 70th St.

She taught us that love is not something you say—it’s something you do.

I truly am so sorry for the loss of Pam. I regret not getting to know her better, as she was my Aunt and the sister to my beloved father who passed away when I was 6, Robert Epperly. Pam always reached out to me on birthdays and holidays, extending her warmth and wishes. My deepest condolences and my sincerest regret, I will pray for healing and to keep her warmth and light in remembrance. With all of my sincerest love and empathy, Alexis Epperly.

    God’s Promise
God didn’t promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow or sun without rain.God did promise strength for the day ,comfort for tears and a light for the way.And for all who believe in His kingdom above, He answers their faith with everlasting love❣️
Pam was my best friend and will remain in my heart. I was truly blessed to be apart of her life. We laughed, cried, even got frustrated with each other 😆 but the outcome was always the same, sisters in Christ. I loved her random visits to my house when she was welcomed to walk through my front door anytime she wanted and she did. We sat for hours embroidering, crafting, sewing, and Bible study. We talked about anything and everything.Pam truly loved everyone ❣️Our hearts go out to the family.
    God’s Blessings, Andrea Seuferer
