Terry Lynn Nelson

featured image

March 9, 1951 – July 24, 2025

Terry Lynn Nelson, beloved daughter of George Stanley Nelson and Virginia Gene (Peach) Nelson, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025, with her brother and niece by her side. She was born on March 9, 1951, in Central City, Nebraska.

Terry attended the Nebraska City School for the Blind in her younger years and moved to Mosaic in 1977, which has been her home since. Terry is remembered for her love of music, her great personality and contagious laugh – always having a good joke to tell. She adored her childhood dogs (PeeWee and Boots) – and carried their friendship and memory with her through life as stuffed animals, along with BooBoo and Yogi. Terry always enjoyed the camaraderie and friendships within the Red Hat Society. She loved spending a day out with the girls – taking in a good meal, some retail therapy, and maybe a manicure.

Those left to mourn Terry’s passing include her brother, Lyndon Nelson of Lincoln, Ne, her nieces, Tracy (Aaron) Grauer and Lynette Nelson; her great-nephews, Peyton Nelson and Henry Grauer; her great-niece, Greta Grauer and her Mosaic friends.

Terry was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Darrel, sister-in-law, Linda Nelson, and nephew Cory Nelson.

There will be a Memorial Celebration of Life for Terry at the Mosaic Chapel (722 So 12th St, Beatrice, Ne) on Wednesday August 13th, 2025 at 3:15 P.M., with Chaplain Sharon Schuster officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
