featured image

Rosemary (Wagner) Hunt, 82, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on March 28,2025. Rosemary was born on December 8, 1942 in Burwell, Nebraska to Glenrose (Webster)Wagner and Bernard “Tiny” Wagner. Rosemary left the small town of Burwell to attend the University of Nebraska where she discovered the virtues of a good time and amazing friends. In 1964, Rosemary met and soon married Lyle Hunt. Rosemary was with Lyle for 57 years until he passed. Rosemary would often note that although their marriage seemed longer at times, Lyle was the love of her life. Rosemary was the consummate stay-at-home mom. She absolutely loved cooking, cleaning and being the best mom in the world. Rosemary shared her love for helping others by working for organizations that assisted seniors in their home.

Rosemary loved many things in life, shopping, dolls, games, traveling, cooking, foods, meeting new people and most of all her family and friends. Rosemary had an infectious laugh that brought smiles to anyone she met and even more to those she loved.

Survivors include her Daughter and son-in-law Deirdre Walton and Wade Walton of Lincoln, Son and daughter-in-law Jon Hunt and Claire Goldbloom of Portland, Oregon; Grandchildren Madelyn Walton and Mitchell Walton of Lincoln, Nebraska; Grandchildren Eddie Hunt, Leo Hunt and Milo Hunt of Portland, Oregon.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Isles Pub and Pizza social hall (6232 Havelock Ave) on Saturday, July 26th from 4pm to 7pm. Memorials in lieu of flowers to ICON (Imperial Court of Nebraska) or to the Rosemary Hunt Sunken Gardens Fund.
