Alvin Joseph Beahr Jr.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Alvin “Al” Beahr, known to his family as Al and to his friends as AJB. Taken from us too soon, Al’s presence brought joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories to everyone who knew him.

Al had a deep passion for horse racing, fishing, and playing cards—three things that filled his days with excitement and camaraderie. Whether he was cheering at the track, casting a line on a peaceful afternoon, or playing a hand of cards with friends, he lived for the thrill of the moment. His love for these pastimes was matched only by the warmth he brought to those who shared them with him.

Family meant everything to Al, and beyond his own, he was blessed with a second family in the Kadavys. The love, friendship, and countless memories he built with them were a true testament to the connections that meant the most in his life.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin J. Beahr Sr. and Mary Cathryn (O’Neill) Beahr.

He is survived by his sister, Kathy (Beahr) Fredrickson (Mark); nieces Mikaela Fredrickson (Greg) and Makenzie (Fredrickson) Ronspies (Brodie); and nephew Mitchell Fredrickson (Hannah). His family, along with his many dear friends, will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.

Al had a rare gift—he made everyone feel at home in his presence. With his quick wit, easygoing nature, and loyal heart, he was the kind of man you were always happy to have by your side. His time with us was too short, but the impact he made will never fade.

A celebration of Al’s life will be held at Madsen’s Bowling & Billiards: 4700 Dudley St. Lincoln, on April 5th from 1-4pm.

Rest easy, Al—may the horses run strong, the fish always bite, and the cards forever fall in your favor.
