Diane Eley

Diane (Deanne) Rae Eley, age 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 14, 2025 three weeks after being diagnosed with cancer.

Diane was born on October 12, 1939, to Woodrow and Vivian Walters in Lincoln, Nebraska. She grew up in Lincoln and was married for 53 years to her high school sweetheart Ron Eley. In 1963 they moved to an acreage south of Firth, Nebraska where they raised their two daughters, Tammy and Lesa. Vacations taken to the mountains in Colorado were cherished memories. Diane and Ron were members of Faith Bible Church in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Survivors include her daughters, Tammy Lyons (John), Lesa Becker (Robert), brother Woody Walters (Billie), sister Cathy Peterson (Chuck), sister-in-law, Marlene Findley (Tom), eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband Ron Eley, parents Woodrow and Vivian Walters, father-in-law Ed Eley, mother-in-law Doris Eley (Angell) and step father-in-law Charles Angell.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Bible Church: 6201 S. 84th St., Lincoln, Nebraska.

    Aunt Diane will be greatly missed. I know she has reunited and holding hands with my Uncle Ronnie. She loves Jesus and will forever be in His presence. Diane, you are a blessing!
