JoAnn P. Hansen
February 18, 1932 – November 19, 2024
JoAnn P. Hansen passed away Monday, November 19th, 2024. JoAnn was born in Lincoln, Nebraska to Loren and Josephine (Mapes) Neal. She attended school in Lincoln and earned an associate degree from Nation Business Institute (NBI). She married Robert Hansen in 1951. JoAnn worked as a receptionist initially and later as a lobbyist for NPPD, eventually retiring to fulfill her most rewarding work as “grandma” to her grandchildren.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert and her eldest son, Mark Hansen. She is survived by her two sons; Chris (Jeannea) Hansen of Lincoln, Don Hansen of Lincoln; five grandchildren: Chistopher (Kayla) Hansen, Jamie and Rachel Hansen, Jesse Hansen, Brandon Hansen, Rhys Hansen. Also, three great grandchildren: Brooks, Maverick and Harper.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday November 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Firethorn Club House (Spangler Room): 9301 Firethorn Ln, Lincoln, NE 68520.
