David Edward Whelan
March 18, 1961 – August 29, 2024.
David passed peacefully on August 29, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born in Weatherley, Missouri. He lived the majority of his life in Lincoln, Nebraska.
David is survived by his Daughter, Chelsea Whelan, Mother: Cora (Garrison) Whelan, Brothers and Sisters: Walter and Connie Whelan, Phillip Whelan, Beth Whitaker, Donald and Lizabeth Whelan Jr., Teresa Whelan and Mark and Sara Whelan. He was uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his Father, Donald Whelan Sr.
David was a loving father, enjoyed motorcycles, playing cards and fishing. He especially enjoyed time spent with his daughter and family. His witty humor will be missed.

I cannot even put into words the empty place in my life without you here. I never stopped loving you and I never will my Dave. Heartbroken that I lost you twice. Our sweet Chelsea misses you more than anything and I am a bit thankful she has school work to focus on to keep her mind a bit preoccupied. Otherwise I think she would be a mess. It is so fresh right now and doesn’t seem real that your gone. You will NEVER be gone from our hearts. I hope and pray to see you again in paradise. I think and hope that’s how it will work anyway.
