RaeJean Ziegelbein

RaeJean M. Ziegelbein, 87, passed away August 1, 2024 in Seward, Nebraska. She was born to Raymond and Delores June Bornemeier on January 21, 1937 and grew up on the family farm near Elmwood, Nebraska. After graduating from Elmwood High School in 1955, she took a clerical job at the National Bank of Commerce in Lincoln. While working there, she met Charles (Chuck) Ziegelbein, whom she married in April of 1956. She spent the early years of their marriage as a full time homemaker and mother to their two daughters, Marla and Marcia. She later returned to work part time in the banking industry and worked for various financial institutions until her retirement.

RaeJean was an accomplished seamstress and made many clothing items for herself and her family. Later, her sewing interests turned to quilting, a hobby that she enjoyed for many years. In her retirement years, she and her husband enjoyed seeing much of the country while shuttling vehicles from place to place for various auto dealerships.

She is survived by daughters Marla Huber and Marcia (Ray) Kennedy; grandchildren Jamie (Michael) Wenzl, Charles J. (CJ) Huber, John, Sarah, Timothy, and Adam Kennedy; great-grandchildren Avery and Easton.
