Emma Jane Mickelson
Emma Jane Mickelson, 96, passed to heaven on June 24, 2024. She was born on April 14th, 1928 on a farm near New London, MN, the youngest of six children. She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus with a degree in Home Economics. Jane then worked teaching cooking classes at the Gas Company in Sioux Falls, SD where she met Warren (Mike). They married on June 20, 1953 and had 63 wonderful years together.
Jane lived a beautiful life of service including First Lutheran Church, Meals on Wheels and the Food Pantry. She enjoyed golf, bridge, baking cookies, entertaining and socializing with her many cherished friends.
Jane is survived by her 2 daughters: Nancy (Mike) Dalton and Judy (Jack) Richter; 2 grandchildren: Emily Bien and Bryan Richter; and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and husband Mike.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday July 6, 2024 at 11:00 am. at First Lutheran Church. 1551 S 70th. Lincoln.

“Grandma Jane” was loved by all the First Learning Center preschool children. Her smiles and kindness were a ray of sunshine each month along with her yummy homemade treats. She was such a gift to us.
Nancy & Judy, I’m so sorry to hear of Aunt Jane’s passing. She was the last of all our aunts & uncles so they are all together again! We are left to carry on now. Please know I am sending prayers & hugs to you all!
Jane was a wonderful friend and neighbor to our family when we lived on Tanglewood Lane. So many wonderful memories. Our kids called her the “cookie” grandma as she always had fresh baked cookies to share. May she rest in peace.
