Rodney Craig Johnson

Rodney Craig Johnson, 5/2/61, of Lincoln, Nebraska entered heaven on 2/4/2024.

Rod was born and raised in the greater Omaha area and several years in Colorado. He graduated from Ralston High School in 1979. He attended colleges in Kansas and North Dakota. His favorite education by far was Heartland Farrier School in Lamar, MO. Rod was a farrier for over 20 years. His most recent work was as Commercial Construction Estimator with Christensen Lumber, Lincoln, NE. Rod enjoyed his years in North Dakota with his daughters raising sheep on the farm. His daughters Tschida and KaDee were the light of his life. He was passionate about fishing, snow skiing, off road dirt biking, reading cowboy westerns, books on leadership and his Bible. He was a skilled craftsman and enjoyed building and remodeling projects. Recently he gained much happiness biking the MoPac trails and hiking mountains in National Parks with Marlys. He fiercely loved his family and friends and was a man of deep faith in Christ.

Wife: Marlys Burgett
Daughters: Tschida Innes (Kody) and granddaughter arriving soon of Virginia Beach, VA. KaDee Johnson of Cedar Bluffs, NE.
Parents: Dwight and Karen Johnson of Ralston, NE
Sisters: Vicki Graves (Dave) of Volga, SD; Leslie Nordstrom (Dan) of Omaha, NE; Stephanie Johnson (Jose Covarrubias) of Lincoln, NE.
Marlys’s son and wife Seth and Chloe Burgett.
Sister-in-law: Deb Johnson.
Many beloved uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by brother Brad Johnson and grandparents.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Christ Community Church; 404 S 108th, Omaha, NE.
