Marcia L. Ferguson
Marcia L. Ferguson, left this world at 5:27 a.m., on March 11, 2023, at the age of 91. She was born to Ruby Stephens and James Varga on December 31, 1931. Marcia had three siblings, Robert Varga (deceased), Jacqueline Higgins (deceased) and Janet Varga, of Lincoln, NE. She had been an employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber, before retiring after 31 years. Marcia married William H Bauer in 1951. They had three children; Pamela Bauer Flanagan of Bennet, NE; Michael W. Bauer, of Lincoln, NE; and Randal S. Bauer (Barbara) of Omaha, NE.
Marcia married Billy Don Ferguson in 1971, they were married 37 years before his death in 2008.
She leaves behind seven grandchildren, Marissa S Heuer (Jaci Augustin), Rebecca A Roeth (John), Matthew W Heuer, Jennifer D Meinberg (Bryan), Danielle S Eichmeier (Paul), Brandon Burns (Jordan), and Lindsay Robey (Jared); as well as ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Marcia was devoted to her family, and will be sorely missed by all of us, including her lifelong friends.
Mama, you were so many things, to all of your family, and we loved you well.

Mom, it still hasn’t become real, that you are gone. My mind knows but my heart can’t accept it.
You were such a loving daughter, sister, mom, grandma, great grandma and friend to many. Always welcoming anyone into your life/home with open arms. There was always a place at your table for everyone, and no one went away hungry. You were good at everything you attempted, a fabulous cook, baker, seamstress, a hard worker your entire life. I admired you for so many things, especially your bravery the last 6 years of your life. You were my first friend and you will be forever with me, until I see you again❤️.
To the family what a huge loss. She was a very special woman. What a great cook. Good mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed. Rest in the arms of Jesus.
You have been there for me whole life, Gram’s. Loving me, teaching me, helping me. Like I’ve told you in person a hundred times before, I can’t imagine how life will go on without you. You are my strength, you taught me to live generously. You taught me how to forgive, even when people disappoint you. I hope you know how much you meant to me. And thank you for a lifetime of memories….
I will always miss you, Grams. Remembering how you’d patiently help me with sewing projects that had become challenging, or calling in to me that whatever I was baking, “smells like it’s done!”. I still can’t quite believe that you’re gone. We won’t ever spend Friday nights watching Everybody Loves Raymond, laughing together…and who will I call for your famous recipes? I hope you are at peace now, in a place where there’s no more pain, and no more disappointments.
Mom, I know that you were aware of how loved you were and how missed you will be. I will miss our phone calls, visits, and especially your cinnamon rolls. I know you are at peace and with the loved ones that passed before you. You lived long and with no regrets. Save a place for me at your new table.
