Jesse Lee Widhalm
Jesse L Widhalm, self-described redneck hippy cowboy biker, has hung up the “gone fishin’” sign for the last time and gone to the big campground in the sky. As he launched his canoe onto the lake and disappeared on the horizon, we waved goodbye and said, “he’s gone,” but on the other side of the lake they exclaimed gleefully “here he comes.”
Children left to camp and fish: Jacque Shiveley, Martin (Carol), Christine (Don) Stillwell, Paul, and Ben, 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Brother and childhood partner in crime Jack, sister and third musketeer Anita (Ken) Daggett, and surprise baby sister Kathy (Ray) Aguirre, who he introduced as his seeing-eye sister in his last years. Nieces, nephews, greats, Gizmo and Gordo AKA “the boys,” and many friends.
Joining him on his latest adventure are his wife of 40 years Barbara, his son Scott, his daughter Diane, and generations before him.
His request was that this short obituary would run one day: Born: 9/7/1940, Took off: 1/10/2023.
Work hard, play hard, enjoy life. Have fun at every chance. I did.
He also said no service, but we will eat food together and tell stories anyway, more than once.
