He graduated from Lincoln East High School in 1978 and attended Winona State University and the University of Minnesota for undergraduate work. He graduated from Kansas City Kansas Community College in Mortuary Science in 1982. Barb and Jon were married the same year and have been blessed with three children, Joshua, Danielle and Victoria. They now have a grandson Wyatt. They are the pride of his life. Jon enjoys gardening, weight lifting and working on the acreage.
